THE FILM:
BEE NATION, the opening night feature film at Hot Docs 2017, traces the journeys of several Indigenous children and teens as they compete in the first-ever First Nations Provincial Spelling Bee in Saskatchewan and the national championships in Toronto for the Spelling Bee of Canada.
THE FESTIVAL:
Christie Pits Film Festival is the signature project of Toronto Outdoor Picture Show, a local non-profit dedicated to sharing quality outdoor cinema with Toronto communities.
